Welcome to a brand new year! What’s on your list of marketing goals for the year?
If you read the marketing trends and business goals, especially for the online world, you’ll quickly discover that one rule rides high above all others:
Content Is King
But that rule has been going strong for a number of years now; is it still the case?
Yep, in a world where technology picks up speed faster than we would like, and potential customers are more savvy then they’ve ever been before, the only way to gain attention is be where they will potentially be looking.
That’s where content comes into play.
When people have problems, they look for solutions.
Have you seen the one where people lift up their mobiles and say “Okay Google”.
Have you ever asked Siri to help you find a solution?
Of course you have. But what you may not know is what Siri and Google look for.
Dig Deeper: Ghostwriting For Blogs
Once again, its content. And in more cases than not, that content is coming from quality blog posts written in such a way that it defines your question in the perfect way for you.
In order for the content to be there, you have to write it. But there is a difference between you a business owner writing a post, an average writer writing a post, and a ghost blogger that understands all the nuances that create a post that is attractable for when someone says “Okay Google”.
1. A ghost blogger can get inside your customer’s head
Notice I said your customer’s head; not your head. That’s the mistake most people make with their blog posts. They type away about anything that comes to mind. I attended a picnic – I’ll blog about it. Its spring time – I’ll blog about it. But is that really what your customer wants to read? Is that really what they’re searching for? Is that really what they want to find when they say “Okay Google”?

2. A ghost blogger understands Internet marketing
Do keywords matter? What keywords are important? How about SEO? How many meta tags do you need? How many posts do you need for natural placement? How quickly do posts get ranked? Blog writing is writing with a twist. If you just want to write, go for it. But if you want to get noticed for your blog writing, there are specific ways of going about it.

3. A ghost blogger creates unique content
I always love the “industry specific companies” that offer you content that preloads into your blog, ready for you to use whenever you choose. It’s preloaded. Which tells you immediately that you aren’t the only one using the content. So if someone happens to search for the exact keywords used in your title, what are the odds your post will come up over the dozens of other businesses that have used the same exact title with the same exact content too?
4. A ghost blogger writes readable content
There are many ways to write content. You can outsource it to someone from another country – the Philippines and India are big. You can hire an average writer looking to make a few extra bucks. Or you can hire a professional ghost blogger that understands writing professional content for your business, and knows how to use it to gain traction online as well. Can you tell the difference between content written by someone in the Philippines and a true professional Ghost Blogger? Only you can be the judge. What will your online readers think?
5. A ghost blogger wants to know your goals
A ghost blogger becomes a part of your marketing team, helping you create posts that represent your business and help you get the clients you are truly going for. They talk to you about the direction of your company, and what you’re trying to achieve. They want to know about how to represent you better in the marketplace.
Any other type of writer? They simply write based on the title you provide. They might not even know your name. Or who you are trying to target. Or what you’re trying to achieve.
Quality content rules in today’s world. People talk, they think, they search, and they want results. A knowledgeable customer is no longer a rare thing: you’ll find it with everyone you do business with.
The only question is, what does you content say to them?
